Etiquette & Precaution while using Digital Communication Device

Law Enforcement agencies are rapidly upgrading their capability to track and monitor unlawful activities conducted through any Digital technology based devices. So even if you are a perfectly disciplined citizen who can not even dream to break a law, then to you are vulnerable because someone else may have used your device or Whatsapp/ Facebook/ Twitter account to transmit any illegal content and then deleted it quietly. Or you may have opted to buy and use a secondhand mobile set which may contain deleted content.

It may be interesting to see how Cyberlaw experts deal with such situations and mount a defensive battle for the affected person. In any case it will be much better that people are sensitized and educated about etiquette and necessary precautions related to use of digital communication devices.

For the benefit of readers I am opting to post an article which appeared in Delhi edition of Time of India on Thursday, 28th January,2016.
